Day 01 :

Marrakech – Tizi n’Tacht Pass – Tahliouine Village

Leaving the City: Your journey begins with a private 1.5-hour transfer from Marrakech into the heart of the High Atlas.

The First Pass: Meet your private team and set off trekking uphill toward the stunning Tizi n’Tacht Pass, enjoying expansive views of the valley layouts.

Hidden Trails: Descend steadily into the quiet, colorful village of Tahliouine. Spend your first evening in a welcoming, traditional local lodge. (Total walking: approx. 5 hours).

Day 02 :

Azzaden Valley – Tizi n’Touti Pass – Dkent Village

Deep Valley Trekking: After an early breakfast, leave the Azzaden Valley behind as the trail snakes deeper into the mountain wilderness.

Riverside Lunch: Ascend toward the Tizi n’Touti pass and stop for a freshly prepared hot lunch next to a refreshing mountain stream.

Day 03 :

Day 05 :

Summit Push (4,167m) – Imlil Valley – Marrakech

The Return Circuit: Descend back to the refuge for a well-deserved lunch, then take a completely different scenic route down through the Imlil Valley.

How physically demanding is the 5-day Grand Circuit compared to shorter treks?

This trek covers more mileage and crosses multiple passes before even reaching the summit route. Day 4 and Day 5 are particularly demanding with 7 to 10 hours of trekking. It is highly recommended for hikers with good cardiovascular fitness and hiking endurance.

Will we see a different side of the mountains on this loop?

Yes, absolutely. Shorter treks go straight up and down the same valley. This 5-day circuit loops through the Azzaden Valley, which is much more isolated, lush, and less crowded, giving you a true “off-the-beaten-path” experience.

Do I need mountaineering experience?

No, but a good level of physical fitness is required. It’s a non-technical hike.

Do I need to bring my own professional trekking gear?

While it’s best to have your own broken-in hiking boots, you don’t need to carry everything to Morocco. We can arrange the rental of high-quality sleeping bags, crampons, ice axes (for winter), and trekking poles in Imlil before we start our ascent.
